ARLINGTON, TX (KLTV) - The Malakoff Tigers faced off with the Grandview Zebras on Thursday night.
It was Grandview’s first-ever appearance in a state championship game, and they walked away victorious, with a score of 35-21.
The Tigers fought hard to try to win their first football championship ever ... and they’ve been playing since the 1920s ... but they were not able to break the streak this time.
On Wednesday, Malakoff Coach Jamie Driskell said, "Obviously, we’re in a great setting there at AT&T, you know we want to make it as normal as we can, get after it, have fun, play extremely hard, and don’t leave anything out there. Hopefully we’ll come out on top.”
