(KLTV) - When Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray won the Heisman, he had already months before been drafted by the Oakland A’s in the first round.
Immediately he made it clear baseball is his thing.
Then he was named Outstanding Player of the 2018 Big 12 Championship and was named the highest ranking for a college quarterback since 2004.
A deadly passing arm, his 4,945 yards of total offense broke Baker Mayfield’s school record, Mayfield a former sooner won last year’s Heisman.
So its understandable as to why Murray may be hedging on a career in baseball. One NFL GM said if Murray wanted to play pro football, he’d be drafted in the first round.
So in Saturday’s Orange Bowl when OU plays top ranked Alabama, it may also be an NFL audition.
