TYLER, TX (KLTV/KTRE) - Due to the new year holiday, we do not have updated cattle numbers Thursday.
However, the USDA weekly Texas hay report says all hay classes traded fully steady at the end of 2018.
Demand also remained steady despite a limited to moderate supply.
The report says a variety of hay continues to be contracted and bought out to meet the demands of dairy, feed yard and livestock owners.
Producers throughout Texas continue to report some shortages caused by army worms, early frosts and rain hampering their fourth cutting.
