EAST TEXAS (KLTV/KTRE) - Keep a look out at your feeders.
The Texas A&M Agrilife Research and Extension Center says birds like goldfinches, black-capped chickadees and other birds will start showing up.
Make sure you provide both fresh food and fresh water for them. You can attract just as many birds with a bird bath as with food, especially during dry spells.
If you put out a variety of seeds, like sunflower, thistle, safflower and millet, along with suet, you will attract a variety of birds.
And don’t forget, once you begin putting out bird food, continue feeding them through the spring time.
