LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The U.S. Army Recruiting Office in Lufkin is offering a free fitness program to those who are trying to get in shape for the Army or who just want to improve their fitness.
Sergeant Jacob Sutherland said that these exercises used in basic training can go a long way in improving your fitness. Sutherland said that the program isn’t just open for people who want to join the Army. It’s also open to anyone who wants to come out and get a good workout, he said.
In addition to the physical fitness exercises recruits do during basic training, they also have events like flag football games, Sutherland said.
East Texas News will have more on this later today.
