LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The Planning and Zoning Board in Lufkin has approved Frutlandia’s request to reimagine the use of its extra space and offer special events to customers.
Frutilandia Meat Market on North Raguet St. currently offers butchery and other food service. However, the owners have expressed interest in turning a warehouse building on the property into a special events center, for celebrations such as baby showers and quinceaneras.
Planning and Zoning will now send a recommendation to the city council for final approval. It’s unclear when the permit might find its way onto the city council’s agenda.
