Decorated art posts greet visitors to Texas Forestry Museum in Lufkin

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Guests to the Texas Forestry Museum in Lufkin will now find an exhibit waiting for them before they ever make it inside.

Art posts were painted by students with Lufkin High School last year and were just recently installed outside the museum on the Urban Wildscape Trail.

Museum officials said they wanted to make the half-mile trail at the museum engaging and attractive, so they recruited Lufkin high school students for the project. It was only just installed because of the time it took to have the posts matted.
