ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - UPDATE: Tx-DOT said SH 147 over Lake Sam Rayburn near San Augustine is clear of debris and passable Sunday.
They said water has receded from the bridge and all lanes are open.
UPDATE: Tx-DOT said motorists should use extra caution this evening and tonight on SH 147 at Sam Rayburn Lake. Crews continue to remove debris and will continue to monitor bridge conditions.
Message boards warning motorists have been placed and the road will be pre-treated ahead of freezing temperatures.
UPDATE: Tx-DOT is asking people to please not stop near or on the SH-147 Bridge on Sam Rayburn Lake to take photos or videos of flood waters.
They said Tx-DOT crews are on the scene and their work is being hindered by onlookers as they try to clear the bridge of debris.
They ask you to please avoid the area and be safe.
Crews are working to clear the SH-147 bridge over Lake Sam Rayburn of debris.
According to Tx-DOT, high winds are causing a spillover from high water on the lake.
Tx-DOT said crews will also apply a brine mixture once winds subside to help keep the water on the roadway from freezing later today.
Motorists should reduce speed and stay alert for Tx-DOT workers through the area.
