First Alert: Cranking up the wind machine as the warming trend continues

Weather Where You Live

DEEP EAST TEXAS (KTRE) - A warm, south wind will kick in on Thursday, bringing us increasing clouds and warmer temperatures. Winds on Thursday will top out over 20 mph, with gusts possibly reaching 30 mph at times.

Despite the windy conditions and passing clouds, temperatures will continue their upward climb, with daytime highs topping out in the middle 70′s.

It will stay warm and breezy with times of sun and clouds from Thursday through Saturday as highs remain in the 70's. This will certainly give us an early taste of spring.

Our next cold front looks to move in over the weekend, which will bring back a 20% chance of isolated showers on Sunday followed by cooler weather moving back into the Piney Woods.

Winter returns early next week as moisture moving over the cold air will bring us cloudy, rainy, cold, and dreary conditions across East Texas.
