SH 7 reopened near Trinity River in Houston

HOUSTON COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - UPDATE: TxDOT reported the mile stretch of State Highway 7 near the Trinity River has been reopened after crews cleared the scene of an earlier crash.

PREVIOUS: State Highway 7 West is shut down near the Trinity River due to a reported crash.

According to TxDOT Lufkin, about a mile stretch of SH 7 is shut down in Houston County, starting at the Trinity River and going eastward.

TxDOT said detours are in place at this time. They ask motorists to reduce their speed and to prepare for delays as crews work the scene.
