LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - One East Texas gun shop manager said it's getting better now, but for a little while he couldn't keep enough ammunition. He said he thinks suppliers were running out because ammo was in such high demand. He also said many people were worried about America's future, so they began stocking up.
"Before the election there was a whole lot of talk about gun control stuff and it just scared people," said Managing Partner of Bill's Gun Trader Billy F. Pate.
He said business is usually best in the winter and slower in the summer, but he said they've seen a lot of customers come in so far this summer.
