Water leak repaired, classes for Chireno ISD resume Wednesday

CHIRENO, TX (KTRE) - A boil water notice is in effect for customers of Melrose Water Supply Corporation following the cancellation of classes Tuesday for Chireno Independent School District.

A spokesperson for the company said a water leak had been repaired and the system is back up.  They have issued a boil water notice as required by law and are taking water samples.

Regular class schedules are expected to resume on Wednesday.
