3/5/10 Lufkin Police report

Theft, 1600 Block Feagin Drive: At approximately 3:30 P.M. on Thursday, March 4, 2010, a purse was reportedly stolen from outside of a residence located in the 1600 block of Feagin Drive.  According to the report, a complainant reported that she left her purse on the hood of her vehicle, which was parked outside her residence, and when she returned to the vehicle the purse was missing.  The report stated that the purse contained the complainant's income tax refund, driver's license, passport, social security card, checks, and several credit and debit cards.

 

Assault, 4600 South Medford Drive: At approximately 3:45 P.M. on Thursday, March 4, 2010, a male suspect assaulted an adult male inside Lufkin Mall.  According to the report, the suspect used his finger to poke to victim's eye and then used his fist to strike the victim's face, and mall security personnel detained the suspect until Lufkin Police Department Officers arrived.  The report stated that the responding Officers arrested the suspect for an outstanding Criminal Trespass warrant and referred the assault incident for further investigation.

 

Theft, 4600 South Medford Drive: At approximately 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, March 4, 2010, three known female suspects reportedly stole merchandise from multiple Lufkin Mall stores and two of the suspects reportedly assaulted mall security personnel.  According to the report, Desiree Learice Murphy (19) of Lufkin was arrested for the offense of Theft, a Class B Misdemeanor offense.  The report stated that two additional female suspects reportedly stole property from mall stores, assaulted mall security personnel attempting to detain them, and then fled the area prior to the arrival of Lufkin Police Department Officers.  The report stated that the responding Officers transported Ms. Murphy to Angelina County Jail and referred additional thefts and the assault incident for further investigation.

 

Harassment, 100 Block Broaddus Street: At approximately 12:50 P.M. on Thursday, March 4, 2010, a female complainant reported that a male suspect had made repeated telephone calls to her residence after being informed that the calls were unwanted.  According to the report, the complainant met the suspect through an online chat room and could not provide specific identifying information regarding his identity.  The report stated that the responding Lufkin Police Department Officer obtained the telephone number from which the suspect called and the incident was referred for further investigation.

 

Assault, 4300 Block South Medford Drive: At approximately 6:15 P.M. on Thursday, March 4, 2010, a known female suspect and two unidentified male suspects spit on a complainant's vehicle and threatened the complainant outside of a business located in the 4300 block of South Medford Drive.  According to the report, the female suspect spit on the complainant's vehicle and the unidentified male suspects threatened to injury the complainant but all three had fled the area prior to the arrival of Lufkin Police Department Officers.  The report stated that the incident was referred for further investigation.
