FREETOWN, Sierra Leone (AP) - A medical missionary from Texas who's fighting the deadly Ebola virus has refused an experimental treatment so it can be given to another missionary. Dr. Kent Brantly of Texas is a missionary with Samaritan's Purse. Its president, Franklin Graham, says there was only enough of the experimental serum for one patient, so Brantly asked that it be given to Writebol. Instead, Graham says Brantly received a unit of blood from a 14-year-old boy who had survived Ebola because of the doctor's care.

DALLAS (AP) - A 2-year-old girl is in critical condition after an accidental fall from the second level of the American Airlines Center to the main level while attending the circus. Arena general manager David Brown says the girl was injured during the Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey Circus. Brown says the family was leaving their seats on the front row of the 200 level just before intermission when the child fell to the Plaza Level below. Officials did not estimate the distance the child fell.

KARNES CITY, Texas (AP) - Federal officials say a detention center in South Texas will start housing women and their children who enter the United States officials illegally. The Karnes County Residential Center, southeast of San Antonio, will start taking in immigrants tomorrow after a three-week conversion process from an all-male facility. Officials say it can hold up to 532 people but how quickly it will fill up is unknown. The center is for families in expedited removal proceedings.

PLANO, Texas (AP) - A woman accused of helping run North Texas brothels that masqueraded as massage parlors faces up to four years in prison in a plea deal. Yu Lin Chang appeared in federal court in Plano and pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud the U.S. The Dallas Morning News reports Chang pleaded guilty related to prostitution operations in Plano, Dallas and Hurst.
