About Us

PineCrest Retirement Community is a project of Methodist Retirement Communities (MRC). We are a not-for-profit charitable service ministry related to the Texas Conference of the United Methodist Church. We offer a full range of services and care including Residential Living, Assisted Living, Health Care and our three Special Care units for Alzheimer's and dementia. PineCrest employs positions in Nursing, Home Health, Dietary Services, Housekeeping, Laundry, Maintenance, and Security Services.

Employee Benefits

Our basic full time benefits package includes:
  • 2 weeks of vacation after one year
  • 6 days of sick time per year eligible after 90 days
  • 6 holidays and 2 personal holidays per year (New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.)

In addition to the basic benefits, there is a long list of "extras" that employees get to enjoy because of our unique working environment at PineCrest. The dining services on our campus are not only for our residents; employees enjoy them too! You can order a variety of complete lunch courses and/or salad plates at a reduced price from $1.50 to $3.50. Plus, on your orientation day with PineCrest, your lunch is on us, no charge to you!

Here on campus, we also have our very own Brookshire Brothers Mini-Market! Stop in on your break for a snack!

We also reward employees for a job well done with Perfect Attendance Awards. Any employee having perfect attendance during the one year period from November to the next October will receive $100 cash for each consecutive year until they reach $500 or 5 years.

After 90 days of employment and every year on your anniversary with PineCrest, we provide CNAs, CMAs, Home Health, Dietary, and Housekeeping staff with uniform allowances, up to $100 for full time employees, and $50 for part time.

We offer a variety of health and wellness options. Employees are free to use our treadmills or exercise bikes in the Wellness Center to keep fit, healthy and full of energy!


Employee Parties & Events

Sometimes at PineCrest, we play as hard as we work! Take, for instance, our Extreme Makeover: PineCrest Edition! We drew the names of six self-nominated employees for a makeover! The six employees each received a free outfit, hair cut and style, and makeup consultations. The makeover winners were revealed to a full house at the Extreme Makeover party later in the week!

Our annual campus Mardi Gras Parade is a definite favorite among our residents! The staff members and their families always enjoy joining in with their department and creating their own "mini-floats" for the parade inside the PineCrest campus.




The annual Halloween Carnival is also a wonderful family-oriented event for employees and the residents. The employees are encouraged to bring their children to trick-or-treat from the residents and play the carnival games run by each department.

In addition to some of the annual staff events, there are many other "Staff Fun Days" throughout the year. Sometimes, it is just a pizza party for all employees, or an afternoon sweet treats party where employees get a chance to spin the employee prize wheel and win gift cards or prizes. No matter the time of the year, there is always something fun and exciting happening around PineCrest.
