Stephen F. Austin sophomore Hunter Dozier was all-district, all-star all-everything at Denton High school. Dozier played quarterback for the football while also playing shortstop and even becoming the ace pitcher for the baseball team. So Dozier had his choice of college but he says SFA just felt right.More >>

The SFA Lumberjacks defense held the McNeese Cowboys scoreless in the second half of their homecoming game and that lead to a 37-17 victory. Defensive end Willie Jefferson was a big part of that shutout effort and was even named the Southland Conference player of the week. In the SFA Lumberjacks' 57-21 win last week over Nicholls the 'Jacks defense had 4 turnovers, 9 sacks and held the Colonels offense to less than 150 yards. Linebacker Devin Ducote had two of those turnovers himself, a fumble recovery and interception. Ducote may not have much time left at SFA but he wants to go out with a bang.More >>
