MORE HOTTER THAN NORMAL TEMPERTURES
Another day with an excessive heat warning in effect as highs get up over 110.
A few sprinkles early this morning and the increase in humidity makes if feel a bit muggy out there. Temperatures starting in the low to mid 90s this morning makes for a warm start and the possibility of another record high. The record high for today, Thursday is 114, set in 2006.
As the day goes on look for partly cloudy conditions with a few isolated T-storms mainly over the mountains and a high of 113.
A greater likelihood of T-storms in the valley as we go into the weekend. High temperatures should also drop a little over the weekend... into the 109 - 108 range.
Remember to take frequent breaks from the heat if you or someone you know works or plays outside and don't forget to check on the elderly, small children, and pets during these hotter than normal days (average high this time of year in Phoenix is 106).
The Heat is Still "On"
