An Angelina County grand jury has indicted a former Lufkin charter school counselor who is accused of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl in October of 2013 on two felony charges - aggravated sexual assault of a child and indecency with a child by sexual contact.

Ineligible player participated in regional soccer tournament against Hudson

The UIL announced Tuesday that Houston Wheatley has been forced to forfeit, after an ineligible player participated in the regional soccer tournament. Hudson played Houston Wheatley last Friday in the regional tournament, where the Hornets lost 7-1.

From the Division I ranks, which is Class 5A and 6A programs, Longview and Jacksonville punched their ticket over the weekend in the Tyler qualifying tournament. Lufkin and Whitehouse are also state tourney bound.
