High pressure will be developing over East Texas at both the surface and mid-levels of the atmosphere.
This high pressure ridge will be a "pressure cooker" for us as we head towards the weekend, giving us our hottest stretch of weather so far this summer.
This hot weather will be accompanied by lots of sunshine, light winds, and very little cloud cover.
Highs will be climbing into the upper 90's the next couple of days, eventually topping out right around the century mark as we head into Sunday and Monday of next week.
If the humidity remains high, heat advisories will more than likely be issued for the Piney Woods.
