HUNT COUNTY (KLTV) - Four large, black duffle bags, weighing about 100 pounds a piece, containing what the Hunt County Sheriff's Office believes to be about $400,000 worth of marijuana have been found in locations across the northern part of the county.
One family discovered one of the bags on their roof just after 9 a.m. They told Hunt County law enforcement they heard a "thud" on their roof in the early morning, but did not see anything unusual until they checked their roof later that morning once they had daylight.
The news comes after a low-flying aircraft was reported to the county at 5:22 a.m. Monday. Hunt County officials say they checked the area for a possible plane crash, but it was a citizen who found the plane, undamaged, at 7:29 a.m. It was discovered 150' from a runway at the Caddo Mills airport.
The Hunt County Sheriff's Office and federal agents are investigating.
Authorities say a person of interest is in custody on an unrelated charge.
