News Release:

FEMA/State Mobile Disaster Recovery Centers are opening in Harrison and Shelby Counties on Monday, Oct. 27 - Oct. 31 to provide face-to-face assistance to residents who suffered damages and losses from Hurricane Ike.  Residents are encouraged to register with FEMA before visiting a center.

The deadline to apply with FEMA and to return the U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) application is Nov.12.

Disaster-affected residents may apply with FEMA by calling 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or by applying at www.fema.gov.

Residents may call the toll-free helpline 24 hours a day, seven days a week.  Applicants with a hearing- or speech-impairment who have TTY equipment may call TTY 1-800-462-7585.

Even if you have insurance, you are encouraged to register with FEMA and return the SBA application if you suffered damages or losses from Hurricane Ike in a disaster-declared county.
