Kendall Beard comes home after stint on American Idol

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Kendall Beard said she is overwhelmed by the support and love of the East Texas community.

The people on American Idol have become like family to her, and she continues to keep in touch with them and cheer them on. She said she was not as nervous on stage as she is watching her idol friends on TV.

"You forget when you're there the magnitude of the show, because when you're in it, you know you feel like gosh this really can happen to anybody because I never dreamed in a million years that it would happen to me," Beard said.

She said the show made her realize all her hard work has paid off.   She is now talking to different music labels and she is anxious to see where her voice will take her.

Also, rumors have been flying on the Internet alleging that the show is fixed, and the final four have been chosen.   However, Kendall said it is not fixed, and even if it was, she would not know about it.
