Inside East Texas: "Breast Cancer Awareness"

According to the National Cancer Institute, the chance that an American woman in the general population will develop breast cancer by age 40 is one in 217. It's the most common cancer among women, excluding skin cancers.

The American Cancer Society and sponsors of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and others are dedicated to increasing awareness of breast cancer issues, especially the importance of early detection of breast cancer. This week's edition of Inside East Texas (airs November 17, 2002) is part of communicating this message.
