LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The East Texas News covered a San Augustine Dialysis Center in March.  The center was ready to open their doors, but they were waiting on the state to come do their survey.

Shortly after the story aired, the state inspectors arrived to conduct a Medicare survey. The Center said the Medicare office has received their survey and application. Now, they are waiting for their information to be reviewed by the Medicare office.

Since it has to be processed in the order that it was received, it could take up to 45 days before they can start treating patients.

To clarify, this center is not related to the Lufkin DaVita Dialysis Center in any way.
