Huntington High School robotics team headed to world competition

The Huntington High School robotics team will leave Tuesday for the world competition in Atlanta. Only 100 robotic teams all over the world advance to this compeition. The team designed and built their robot named Knutz.

They have spent months preparing for this competition. They say the world competition is steep, but they're up for the challenge the team said they could not have made it this far without the community's support.

"When we found out we were going to world, I didn't think you were really going to go because we had to have $9,000. But we just started fundraising," Lance Phillips, robotics team member.

Hungtington State Bank and the Children's Clinic in Lufkin are just two of the many sponsors. College scholarships will also be given away at the world competition on Tuesday.
