LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Two men reported they were shot Tuesday night around 10:35 p.m. in a drive-by shooting that occurred at McMullen Street and Raguet Street, according to a police report from the Lufkin Police Department.
The two men were part of a group standing in a yard when a suspect they could identify pulled up at a nearby stop sign in his pickup and fired several shots with a rifle.
Police said one man was shot in the hip and taken to Memorial Hospital by car. He was treated and released later Tuesday night. The second victim sustained a grazing wound to his head, but he did not seek medical treatment.
Police were still investigating the shooting around 11:15 p.m. They were searching for gun casings at that time.
There was an ambulance at the scene, but they left the residence.
The East Texas News has not been able to confirm with police that a suspect has been caught.
