Man killed after pulling in front of 18-wheeler

NACOGDOCHES COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A Nacogdoches man is dead after apparently pulling in front of an 18-wheeler on U.S. 59 north of Nacogdoches Tuesday afternoon. R.V. Green, 77, died at Memorial Hospital.

According to the DPS trooper covering the wreck, an 18-wheeler pulling another truck was driving southbound on U.S. 59 when Green pulled out in his pickup truck coming out of FM 2435 pulled in front of the rig, causing the wreck.

The driver of the 18-wheeler, Larry Turner was not injured.  "We were just coming south in this (outside) lane and this truck pulled out and I got over in that left hand lane to get by him," said Turner. "He just kept coming on out there and I hit him." Turner is from China, Texas. He was pulling a large trailer that was hauling another big rig.
