LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - There was a good crowd Wednesday night and rodeo announcer Mike Mathis said they are looking for a great crowd again Thursday night.
He said you can expect some of the best cowboys in the world, some of the same livestock featured in Las Vegas, and the motorcycle guys will be out again doing their stunts.
"We've got world champions, we've got great cowboys and match-ups here, coming tonight, bareback riding, the number one man in the world bronc riding. We've got some really super talent. It's going to be a great night and the bulls are going to be super all week. It's a family trip, bring them all, come see us, it's going to be a great rodeo," said Mathis.
The rodeo continues through Saturday. Tickets are $8 at the gate. All the proceeds go to local charities.
