How to deal with stress while at college

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Stress is part of college life. And there are places where students can seek help. SFA has five full time counselors who are experts in helping college students with stress. Students who get behind in class work should go to their instructor first and take this advice from the Dean of Student Affairs. "I think sometimes students let stress build up to a level where they can no longer manage it before they ask for help, " said Dr. Adam Peck. "And so the advice I give students most often is address our problems when they're still small and manageable."   Students can lighten up their class load by dropping classes if necessary. They can also seek the help from tutors, friends, family and clergy to get them through a tight spot.
