Woman killed in Huntington accident

HUNTINGTON, TX (KTRE) - A woman was killed Saturday night in a car accident at the intersection of FM 2109 and FM 2801 in Huntington. According to Lufkin Department of Public Safety, Brenda Martin Pyle, 50, of Huntington died at the scene.

Lufkin DPS said Pyle was driving a 1996 Toyota car, traveling west bound on FM 2801. According to Lufkin DPS, Pyle failed to yield right away at the stop sign, causing 28-year-old Robert Allen of Zavalla, pick-up truck to hit Pyle's car. Allen was traveling north bound on FM 2109. Allen's pick-up struck the left passenger side of Pyle's car.

Allen was treated at Memorial Hospital in Lufkin and released shortly after. Allen's two passengers, ages 3 and 7, are in stable condition at Memorial Hospital.

Lufkin DPS said everyone was wearing their seat belts.
