Central Heights under boil notice

Central Heights, TX (KTRE)- Due to a power failure at the Central Heights Water Plant located in Central Heights, water pressure to the distribution system in Central Heights has fallen below the minimum required pressure as required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

To ensure destruction of all harmful bacteria and other microbes, water for drinking, cooking and ice making should be boiled and cooled prior to consumption.

The water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two minutes.

Nacogdoches city officials will notify residents when it is no longer necessary to boil the water.
