2 of 3 officers released from hospital after crash

RUSK, TX (KLTV) - Two of the three officers sent to the hospital after a high-speed chase ended in a crash have been treated and released. The remaining officer is believed to be released soon.

The chase took place on Highway 69 and traveled north, going from Wells into south Rusk. The chase reached speeds of more than 100 miles an hour. For part of the time, the suspect was even driving on the wrong side of the road. Wells, Rusk and Alto PD were involved in the chase, as well as DPS, and Cherokee County Sheriff's Office.

The chase ended when two police vehicles and the pursued car crashed in front of Isaac's Wrecker Service on Hwy. 69.

The suspect, David Lynn Allen of Lufkin, was arrested, booked in the Cherokee County jail and charged with evading arrest.
