Police arrest man for exposing himself on three occasions

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police arrested a man today for allegedly exposing himself on three separate occasions.

According to an arrest affidavit issued to Joshua Clem Miller, the first offense happened on April 29, at the Lufkin Target. The affidavit stated a woman and her mother were loading merchandise into their car when Miller came to a stop by their car. The woman said she saw Miller with his window down and masturbating. When Miller saw the woman's reaction, he drove off but the woman saw his license plate.

The second and third offenses happened on May 5, according to the affidavit, when a woman and her 12-year-old son saw Miller driving down Timberland Drive. Miller allegedly pulled up next to their vehicle and they saw him masturbating, the affidavit stated. Miller stayed beside their vehicle on Timberland Drive from Chestnut Street to Denman Avenue, where they were able to turn.

The third offense was at Lufkin Lowe's, when a woman was placing items in the back of her vehicle. According to the woman, Miller pulled his car up beside her and shook his penis at her before driving off, the affidavit stated. The woman was on her cell phone and called out Miller's license plate number to her friend and the friend wrote it down.

According to the affidavit, two of the victims identified Miller in a photo lineup, and in the third case the 12-year-old victim picked out two photos he thought could be Miller. One of the photos was Miller.

On May 5, police found a car matching the descriptions given by the victim and questioned Miller, and he admitted driving through the Lowe's parking lot.

According to Lufkin Police spokesman David Young, a warrant was obtained for Miller's arrest Thursday. Police arrested Miller around 2:30 a.m. Friday off a traffic stop on Gobblers Knob Road.

Police have charged Miller with two counts of indecent exposure and one count of indecency with a child.
