Lawsuit over bill settled partially

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A lawsuit filed last year against Nacogdoches County by two rural electric providers is partially settled.   Nacogdoches County is agreeing to pay Deep East Texas Electric Co-op $190,000for its relocation of utility lines for Lake Naconiche. The initial bill was $206,000. The county refused to pay the first bill claiming it was way above the original estimate. Then the Co-op filed a breach of contract suit. A similar suit filed by Tex-La Electric Co-op is still in litigation.
