Democratic chair resigning

NACOGDCOHES, TX (KTRE) The chair for the Democratic party in Nacogdoches County is resigning due to time restraints. Tim Garrigan's last day is June 2nd, so the party is scrambling for his replacement. An executive committee will appoint a replacement. The person chosen will serve until 2010 when Democratic voters will elect a new chair.

Tim Garrigan will resign as Nacogdoches County Democratic Chairman effective Tuesday June 2, 2009.  On this date the Executive Committee of the Nacogdoches County Democratic Party will elect a new chairman.  See attached letter from Tim Garrigan (saved as .jpg format).

If you are interested in the position of County Chairman please contact Pat Castella                21... or Claire Martin                 93... for an application.  Applicants must be a registered voter of Nacogdoches County and voted in the Democratic Primary March 2008.

The election will be made by a quorum of precinct chairs on Tuesday June 2, 2009 at Sid Roberts Funeral Home.  Candidates will be expected to make a 3 minute speech followed by questions as time permits.  This is the June Monthly Party meeting.
