8-Liner prosecution will go to the AG's office

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - The prosecution against an alleged illegal gambling operation in Nacogdoches County will be handled by the state Attorney General's Office. An attorney with the Attorney General's office confirmed it has been invited by the Nacogdoches County district attorney's office to prosecute the case against Allen and Gayla Cunningham. The couple is charged with money laundering, a felony, for operating an 8 liner operation. A number of misdemeanor cases were filed against customers. The attorney general's office is also planning to prosecute those cases. The county attorney said conference meetings on the cases were scheduled for this week.
