Lufkin Police trying to track down who de-faced town murals

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A moustache was painted on the mural at Chambers Park, and Lufkin Police said it could be related to three other incidents across town.

There is a similar lewd picture painted on the mural in Cotton Square and other places around town.

"We could be spending our time working on mowing and trimming and those sort of things.  Getting ready for special events that we have in the parks at all times.  Doing our litter pickup and things of that nature instead of having to stop and work on Graffiti," said Lufkin Parks and Recreation Director Don Hannabas.

Hannabas said they have not contacted Lufkin Police yet.   He said they're focusing on cleaning the park mural up now, and they will officially report it later.
