SHELBY COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - A mother and daughter from Houston were injured in a one-vehicle wreck near Tenaha Friday morning, according to a spokesman with the Department of Public Safety.

According to Trooper Dustin Ramos, the mother, Gloria Mathews was driving a 2000 Chevrolet pick-up truck northbound on U.S. 59, one mile south of Tenaha, with her daughter, Jennifer Mathews, as the passenger, when they left the roadway to the right, flipped and struck a tree before the pick-up came to a rest upside down.

Both were transported by helicopter to LSU Medical Center, Ramos said, where they are in stable condition.
