Man found dead in Lufkin mechanic shop

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A repair shop owner came to work Monday to find one of his employees dead in one of the shop's offices.

Lufkin Police has asked KTRE not to publish the man's name until they notify next-of-kin.

Gene Albritton, owner of Gene's Front End Repair Service on Ford Chapel Road, said the man had broken in to the shop Saturday so he would have a place to sleep.

Albritton said he considered firing the man over the weekend and when he walked into a back office Monday morning he found him dead.

"It's something you don't forget," Albritton said.

Albritton then called the police.
