Police investigate shooting of Nacogdoches man

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - The Nacogdoches Police Department is investigating a shooting in the 200 block of East Spradley Street.

The call on the shooting came in just before 8 p.m. Tuesday.  Police said several men were pushing a disabled vehicle on Spradley Street when another vehicle approached them. A suspect, described as a Hispanic male, got out of the vehicle and approached the men. The suspect fired a handgun, striking one of the men in the wrist.

The victim has been identified as Francisco Rivera, a 22-year-old male from Nacogdoches. He was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police continue to interview witnesses and no suspect or motive has been determined.
