Restaurant Report- Angelina County

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE)- No food handler's certification, dirty shelves and floors are just some of the things health inspectors found at some Angelina County eateries.

Dairy Queen in Huntington received 22 demerits. Health inspectors say proper food handler's certification was needed for some employees. The restaurant needed to clean under equipment, shelves, and the coffee sink. Thermometers were needed in all coolers. The drink machine need cleaning for because of insects.

Long John Silver got 17 demerits for not having a clean kitchen floor. In addition, the floor tiles needed to be replaced and cleaned under the fryer. They also needed to clean and de-clutter the water heater closet. The ice machine was in need of cleaning and sanitizing.

The Taqueria Lindo Mexico on South Timberland received 15 demerits. They were instructed to clean the kitchen walls and defrost the ice cream freezer. Several areas to be cleaned: kitchen shelves, underneath the grill, and cooler/freezer floors. The non-commercial freezer needed to be removed.

Congratulations to Brookshire Bros. Deli & Bakery, NuWay Grocery & Deli, Sake Cafe, Ralph & Kacoo's and Kentucky Fried Chicken, all received zero demerits on this week's Restaurant Report.
