Former Boys & Girls Club director bonds out

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A former Lufkin Boys & Girls Club director, charged with three counts each of sexual performance of a child and possession of child pornography, bonded out of jail just short of a month after his arrest.

Patrick Sanders, 52, was arrested on May 6 for allegedly possessing nude photos of a 17-year-old male member of the Boys & Girls Club. According to an affidavit on the arrest, Sanders admitted to taking the photographs.

Sanders was held on $300,000 and bonded out on June 5.

According to the district clerk's office, Sanders is represented by Justin L. Writt, an attorney based out of Houston.

Precinct 1 Justice of the Peace Bill Ball set several conditions on Sanders' bond, including prohibiting him from being left alone with children, from being within 100 yards of a concentrated area of children, drinking alcohol, using a computer without permission and he is to wear a GPS device.

Writt was not immediately available for comment.
