Man uninjured in shooting on Kurth Drive

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - A man who was reportedly shot at several times was not injured while walking on Kurth Drive Wednesday night, according to a Lufkin Police report.

According to Lt. David Young, the man was questioned by police after they responded to a call at 11:20 p.m. from witnesses saying shots were fired near Martin Luther King Boulevard. Police located the alleged victim, who gave them a suspect name but did not want to cooperate with police in the matter.

Young said the man returned fire on the pickup before fleeing the scene.

No arrests have been made in the case.
