LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lufkin Police and FBI investigators are searching for a suspect in a Friday afternoon bank robbery which occurred at Commercial Bank of Texas at 1901 Tulane Drive in Lufkin shortly before 2 o'clock.

The suspect is described as a white male, undetermined age, wearing a white shirt and black cap.  LPD Sergeant Stephen Abbott tells KTRE the suspect was driving either a white Trans Am or white Camaro.  Sgt. Abbott said the suspect took an undetermined amount of money.  He says police are patrolling the area looking for the suspect.  They have also alerted other East Texas banks and law enforcement to be on the lookout.

According to CBTx board chairman, Tommy Ellison, no one was hurt.  He said the robber used a note to demand money from a teller, he did not display a weapon.  The bank has been closed and will likely remain closed until Monday.
