ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Effective this year, the new law provides 100 percent exemption for homestead residents that are 100 percent disabled.
You will need documentation from the Veterans Affairs Commission, certifying you are completely disabled, plus you will have to fill-out a form for your appraisal district.
"We would look forward to that and ask them to come in and contact us so we can get the paperwork done," said Angelina County Appraisal District Chief Appraiser Jim Hogg.
He said this is a separate exemption from the previous exemption they had for disabled veterans, so you will need to come fill out the new paperwork.
