Update: Pollok woman trapped and airlifted to Tyler

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Around 11:30 p.m., Wednesday, the Lufkin Police Department and Lufkin Fire Department were called to an accident along Loop 287, north of Frank Street.

A green, extended-cab Chevy pick-up truck left the roadway and rolled in the median.  The driver, 21-year-old Sandra Barbosa of Pollok, was ejected from her vehicle and trapped under her car.  Around 12:15 a.m., Barbosa was airlifted from the scene to East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.

Police said she was listed in critical, but stable condition Thursday morning.

The accident is still under investigation.
