H1N1 scare could encourage more flu shots

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - It's almost time to get your flu shots. The Immunization Director for Angelina County and Cities Health District, Sarah Adams, said flu shots are now recommended for 6-month-olds to 18 years.

She thinks more people will be lining up for the vaccine because of the H1N1 scare.

"With everything that's happened with the H1N1, I think that everyone is going to be more prone to wanting to get their flu shots," Adams said.

She said the county will have plenty of vaccines on hand and you will be able to start getting them when school starts up again.

You can go to the health district to get your shot for $10.
