Search continues for missing man below Lake Livingston

LAKE LIVINGSTON, TX (KTRE)- Authorities are searching for a man that drowned while fishing below Lake Livingston Dam Thursday afternoon.

The Texas Game Wardens received a call of the possible drowning of 39 year old Jesse Edward Hollins of Willis, Texas around 3 p.m. Hollins was fishing on the Polk County bank of the river when he disappeared.

Polk County Sheriff's Office, Texas Equusearch, Montgomery County Precinct 1 Constable Dive Team, the Trinity River Authority and volunteer fire departments are aiding the Texas Park and Wildlife Department in the search.

The Trinity River Authority has temporarily suspended discharges from Lake Livingston to aid searchers.

Texas Game Warden Captain Shawn Phillips said, "We'll be out here until we find him. We know how hard this is on the family, and we want them to have their loved one back just as soon as possible."
