EAST TEXAS, TX (KTRE) - A Houston man is dead following a drowning at Lake Sam Rayburn Wednesday morning.
According to Capt. Shawn Phillips with Texas Parks & Wildlife, A.G. Booker Jr., 60, of Houston, died after a flat-bottom boat he was on with two other people apparently capsized in the Black Forest area of the lake.
"We got a call on a drowning," Phillips said. "When officers arrived the body had been recovered. We won't know the cause of death until the autopsy has been performed."
Phillips stressed while he suspects a drowning, nothing has been ruled out as far as the cause of death.
The identities of the other two survivors was not immediately available.
