Jury sentences Lufkin man to 60 years for giving toddler gonnorhea

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - An Angelina County Grand Jury sentenced a Lufkin man to 60 years for sexual assault of a two-year-old girl, according to the Angelina County district attorney.

District Attorney Clyde Herrington said Willie Edens had given the girl gonorrhea, which was discovered by a medical staff in August of 2008.

"I give a great deal of credit to the medical community for their testimony," Herrington said. "They did a very good job. We're lucky to have them help us prosecute these cases."
